Position Title: Maintenance Worker Reports To: Maintenance Director Department: Maintenance
Employment Status: Full-Time FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Position Status: Essential
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The Maintenance Worker is responsible for performing a variety of upkeep tasks necessary to maintain operations on both the interior and exterior of the building.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain units and common areas in proper working condition Complete repairs of heating and cooling systems Perform minor electrical work as needed Repair and perform tiling and carpentry work as needed Perform minor appliance repairs including unit and bathroom hardware Installing appliances and equipment Perform minor fixes, such as repairing broken locks, damage to walls, plumbing repairs etc. Collaborate with workers and vendors during renovations Perform preventative maintenance as needed Assist with snow removal Oversee contractors when professional repairs are necessary Responsible for the laundry facilities for client use that are on-site In the event of an emergency, Essential Employees are required to report to work as scheduled Duties and responsibilities are subject to change based upon assessment of company needs SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or equivalent required One year of experience in housekeeping preferred Must be able to interact effectively with the facility staff and client population Must be capable of heavy lifting at least 50 lbs. Must be able to work effectively in a team environment Must be able to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) Bilingual - English/Spanish plus Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.40 per hour
