Sr Supply Chain Inventory Analyst

Job Purpose
Support all segments of the company’s inventory management and supply chain reporting/analytics processes. Help monitor and maintain overall inventory health to effectively manage working capital and meet the company’s financial goals while balancing service level, quality, and cost. Develop, design, implement, and build supply chain processes and reports to improve performance and meet departmental and company goals.
Essential Functions
Help ensure inventory health and optimize inventory levels of the company
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that provide visibility into inventory levels, aging, and risk exposure
Help manage the inventory slow-moving and obsolescence planning process
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Sales, Finance, Operations, Procurement) to proactively identify and mitigate future inventory risks
Develop processes, tools, and reports to monitor and maintain inventory health
Help facilitate solutions to inventory opportunities such as plant transfers, item substitutions, distressed sales, donations, or disposals
Source, vet, and maintain active list of qualified outlets for distressed inventory
Drive improvements to KPIs, including inventory (gross/net dollars, DIOH), Slow-Moving/Obsolete (SLOB), hold product, and customer service (OTIF)
Provide early identification of problems, advise leadership of risks, and recommend options and/or corrective actions
Establish guidelines to set up inventory-related master data of new items
Pulling from multiple diverse internal data sources, help build and create Supply Chain reports and dashboards to create visibility for KPIs to drive continuous improvement while ensuring data accuracy and integrity; update data as needed
Manage supply chain data within related systems, including data uploads, data feeds, reporting, data cleansing, and analytics
Interpret data to identify business trends, conduct root cause analysis of business problems, suggest areas for process improvement, and help lead supply chain projects to achieve business results such as network optimization analysis
Support food safety program, quality standards, and legality of manufactured products
Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications (Education, Experience, Competencies)
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, mathematics, computer science, business, or technology and/or equivalent industry experience preferred
5+ years of experience in supply chain, planning, materials, or similar function related to planning and inventory control
APICS affiliation/certification desired
Proven success reducing and managing excess/obsolete inventory
Experience validating data, data modeling, and creating visualizations/dashboards
Experience using business intelligence tools such as Power BI and Tableau
Understanding of the application and concepts of planning and production control fundamentals, including MRP (SAP preferred), inventory management, capacity planning, scheduling, and lean manufacturing
Working knowledge of continuous improvement/six sigma methodology
Strong project management leadership, knowledge, and skills, covering planning and execution, including ability to rapidly assess risk and identify/resolve issues
Skilled in engaging teams to deliver results in a rapidly changing environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to organize, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
Ability to think quickly and handle frequent change
Self-motivated, goal oriented, quality driven, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
