Job Title
The Senior Supply Chain Manager is a Multi-Site Role and an important functioning member of the Americas Operations Leadership team: This role is key to define and implement our supply chain strategy in the Americas, especially in regards to the S&OP and the management of respective Logistics, Warehouse, Planning and Inventory, in order to ensure that appropriate material quantities are available to support production while maintaining and achieving Inventory Goals. The Senior Supply Chain Manager is also responsible for leading and supporting the Supply Chain teams across Thermal Ceramics - Americas in achieving their targets, as well as developing the site SC reporting organization and supervising the daily activities of the Department and assigned personnel. This role is hybrid with ~25% travel including consistent days in Augusta, GA (Americas Headquarters). Responsibilities Include: Lead professional team of supply chain leaders and Modernize the Supply Chain processes within the Americas region, integrating sites and establishing harmonized capacity utilization across manufacturing capabilities. Establish and implement processes and systems for all SC activities including improved use of ERP systems Incorporate Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) across Americas
Sites and Supply Planning Develop supply, capacity, and capability planning across all manufacturing sites Support all critical site Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) including: Deploy the Americas Sites S&OP process, incorporating Oliver Wight methodology Analyze forecast, deploy MRP and cell schedule data to ensure timely procurement Coordinate with Sales and Operations to determine required materials Manage inventory and provide inventory reports by site Establish Site OpEX/Continuous Improvement for Supply Chain Function Incorporate OEE into Supply Planning Support key Strategic Deployment projects with goals to manage and reduce inventory Analyze Americas supply chain spend and develop appropriate plan Develop reduction plan for Raw and Consumable inventory and execute based on multi-site aggregation and slow moving/obsolete management Identify areas of excess and reduce per plan Develop organization structure to align and cascade supply chain responsibilities Identify potential suppliers of supply chain services to support growth and network globally on cross-regional initiatives Key Result Areas Efficient processes and systems Customer focus: OTA, OTD, ATP, PPA, OTIF, OEE Inventory Turns MTS/MTO balances Qualifications Education & Acquired Knowledge: What does the role holder need to know? Extensive and demonstrated experience with Oliver Wight S&OP Methodology Broad knowledge of business economics as related to Supply Chain Deep understanding of both Demand and Supply Demonstrated ownership and deployment of OEE (overall equipment effectiveness) Four-year college education or equivalent work experience (five years) Negotiating skills Managerial skills required including remote management APICS certification Spanish language skills a plus Experience: What does the role holder need to be familiar with? Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents Ability to respond to sensitive inquires or complaints Ability to write detailed reports and correspondence using original and/or innovative techniques or style Ability to speak effectively in front of individuals or large groups of customers, suppliers or other employees Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume and apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions Adhere to Corporate Schedule of Authorities (Purchase Order Approval Limits) and Purchasing Operating Procedures including monitoring of inventory levels, response to corrective actions, vendor reliability reports, and consignment usage Responsibilities may include travel both domestically and internationally Must be able to work well with stakeholders at all levels and in all departments of the Company as well as external contacts Must adhere to all Company policies Technology & Systems: What tools does the role holder use?
