Join Barnes & Noble as a dynamic Technical Project Manager who will take charge of multiple vital technology projects. In this impactful role, you will play a key part in delivering critical IT initiatives that transform our business operations. We seek an individual with exceptional communication and presentation skills, someone who can lead deliverables, hold productive meetings, host engaging demonstrations, and conduct meaningful retrospectives with both technical teams and key stakeholders. This position offers a hybrid work setup, operating from either our Monroe, NJ distribution center or our NYC office located across from Union Square. Compensation:

The annual starting salary for this role ranges between $125,000 - $150,000, depending on various factors like experience and geographic location. Lead cross-functional technology teams to ensure timely delivery of project scope and objectives. Manage relationships with third-party vendors, internal IT, and technology teams. Oversee medium to large, complex enterprise projects using a WAgile (Waterfall/Agile) approach in a fast-paced environment. Keep all stakeholders updated on project status, including any issues and risks that could affect project outcomes. Maintain strong partnerships with software, infrastructure, and hardware teams. Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills while fostering teamwork across diverse groups. Create and maintain all necessary project documentation including budgets, schedules, risk assessments, and status updates. Knowledge & Experience Required: Solid understanding of the entire lifecycle of IT projects, coupled with a proven ability to advance projects proactively. Expertise in meeting facilitation; adept at managing agendas, tasks, timelines, and documentation. Excellent written and verbal communication, along with strong presentation and public speaking skills. Capability to make sound decisions under pressure. Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies applied in a WAgile setting. Deep knowledge of IT Infrastructure, including server, storage, virtualization, and data center principles. Basic understanding of networking concepts, such as TCP/IP, VPNs, and firewalls. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience. 3-5 years of IT Project Management experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Experience in upgrading or replacing complex application architectures and IT infrastructure modernization. Preferred Certifications:
