Summary:
Performs a variety of duties to support Maintenance floor demands. Responsible for training/assisting subordinate level Maintenance Technicians in the repair and maintenance of manufacturing machinery and processes; follows the direction of senior technicians.
Duties:
Foster a positive working environment and strive to meet set productivity targets and performance standards
Maintain the maintenance work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion
Basic repairs including, but not limited to, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
Assist senior technicians with complex repairs while adhering to maintenance procedures
Coordinate repairs and maintenance activities with the Senior and Subordinate Technicians
Remain active on the floor providing “hands-on” trouble shooting and maintenance of production equipment
Pass down to next shift any open items that remain unresolved at end of shift
Complete all paperwork associated with daily tasks and activities
Use established procedures for removing/returning spare parts
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED, 3+ year experience working in machine maintenance, skilled trades education a plus
Good organizational skills and ability to work under pressure
Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions
Follow safe work procedures and wear personal protective equipment as required
Ability to lift 20 lbs. routinely and be able to stand for long periods of time
Basic understanding of Hydraulic, Electrical and Mechanical schematics and blueprints
Skills
:
Ability to read and write English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals also requires the ability to use simple arithmetic, simple formulas, charts, and schedules
Ability to problem solve using basic troubleshooting
Strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete projects and tasks
Ability to maintain and understand records
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office and similar applications)
Ability to get along with coworkers and work in a team environment
Treating all with respect and professionalism
Motivate team members
Ability to Multitask
Lead by example (work with team members)
