Job Description:
The selected candidate would be the Sourcing subject matter expert who: Understands the end-to-end Sourcing process Is able to document that process Develops aids to help Program Managers successfully navigate the RFP/RFQ, contracting, and change order processes (cybersecurity, privacy reviews, budget updates) Facilitates the Digital Strategy, Cyber Security, and Privacy review process Additionally, the person in this role will help coordinate solicitations and submit new contracts and change order requests.
Core Tasks: Document existing processes and create training materials Perform a stock take of current contracts and develop a timeline for actions required for each, including key milestones New Contracts:
Work with existing Program Managers and Sourcing to: Understand current steps to onboard new vendors, establish contracts, and complete required internal sourcing steps such as cybersecurity, digital strategy, privacy, and legal Develop a training aid to guide Program Managers through: When to engage with IT When to engage with Cyber Security When to engage with Digital Strategy When to engage with Privacy When to engage the vendor When to engage Legal
RFPs/RFQs:
Collaborate with Program Managers and Sourcing to: Develop a scope of work for the RFP/RFQ process Create a step-by-step guide and timeline/training aid Coordinate the RFP/RFQ process, including contract opportunity announcements, bidders conferences, and scoring teams
Existing Contracts:
Work with Program Managers and sourcing subject matter experts to: Document current sourcing procedures for updating contracts Develop a training aid to guide Program Managers through updating/modifying/extending contracts, including: When to submit a new Engagement Request vs. utilizing an existing one When a Master Service Agreement (MSA) covers new or existing contracts with the same vendor
Minimum Qualifications:
1-3 years of experience working with contracts BS/BA Degree or equivalent work experience Desired Qualifications:
Familiarity with ***'s Sourcing and Procurement processes Experience working with an investor-owned utility High level of organization Strong communication skills Ability to communicate complex processes to a wide audience Top Things Looking For:
Familiarity with a company's Sourcing/Procurement/Contracting process Proven track record of quickly understanding and distilling complex processes into easily digestible instructions/guides Ability to serve as a single point of contact and guide others through complex processes

local to the Bay Area
and the
Oakland General Office Hybrid role : Required to be onsite
