Maintenance Technician Trainee The Maintenance Technician Trainee supports the maintenance and upkeep of the property to ensure efficient operations and client/tenant satisfaction. This is a growth-oriented role designed to develop technical skills through hands-on experience, job shadowing, formal training, and practical application alongside the onsite engineering team.
Responsibilities
Assist in completing work orders related to physical maintenance and repairs of assigned buildings using work order software systems.
Support routine physical improvements to the property.
Respond to emergencies in accordance with departmental protocols.
Assist the Supervisor in maintaining equipment, tools, supplies, stock inventories, and logs.
Communicate building status and changes effectively to appropriate individuals.
Adhere to all safety standards, policies and procedures, codes of conduct, and industry best practices.
Act professionally and courteously at all times with tenants, hospital clients, co-workers, vendors, and patients."
Use materials, supplies, tools, and building property safely and efficiently.
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED is required; technical school training in maintenance-related courses is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Ability to take directions and follow instructions."
Safety-conscious with attention to detail.
Knowledge of tools and their proper use.
Strong organizational and time management skills to ensure timely and accurate task completion.
Basic aptitude in mathematics.
Physically capable of extensive walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds using proper body mechanics.
A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
