The Maintenance Technician, based in

Libertyville, IL , is responsible for the general maintenance and orderliness of the property, as well as the oversight of maintenance systems to ensure optimal operations and client/tenant satisfaction, in accordance with departmental protocols.

Responsibilities:

Complete work orders related to physical maintenance and repairs of assigned buildings using work order software.

Implement routine physical improvements as needed.

Respond to emergencies in accordance with departmental protocols.

Assist the Supervisor in maintaining equipment, tools, and supplies, including stock, inventories, and logs.

Work with the Supervisor to implement a comprehensive preventative maintenance plan; maintain associated records and logs.

Help control expenses related to building operations.

Communicate building status and updates effectively to appropriate individuals.

Adhere to all safety standards, policies and procedures, codes of conduct, and best practices.

Act professionally and courteously at all times when interacting with tenants, clients, coworkers, vendors, and patients.

Use materials, supplies, tools, and building property safely and efficiently.

Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of related work experience and technical training.

High school diploma or GED required; technical school training in maintenance-related courses preferred.

HVAC experience required; HVAC or EPA certification preferred.

Ability to read and interpret design documents, manufacturer specifications, and operational procedures.

Strong interpersonal skills to promote teamwork and positive relationships with clients, tenants, and coworkers.

Ability to follow directions and instructions accurately.

Must be safety-conscious.

Ability to organize and prioritize tasks for accurate and timely completion.

Basic math skills.

Availability for emergency calls 24/7 and participation in an on-call rotation.

Capable of extensive walking, climbing stairs and ladders, and lifting/carrying at least 50 pounds using proper body mechanics.

Willingness to work overtime for special projects as needed.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

Basic computer skills and ability to learn job-related software.

Working knowledge of tools and their proper use.

CFC Handling Certification preferred.
