Quality Control Inspector Lead
Job Description:
We are seeking a hands-on Quality Control Inspector Lead to oversee inspection processes for incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods. This position ensures adherence to internal specifications and customer requirements while mentoring inspection staff and improving departmental procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead daily inspection activities across multiple production lines Ensure all materials and products meet documented specifications and tolerances Maintain inspection records, defect tracking logs, and corrective action reports Train and coach junior inspectors on equipment use and inspection protocols Collaborate with quality engineering and production on root cause investigations Qualifications:
4+ years of quality control experience in a manufacturing environment, with 1+ years in a leadership role Familiarity with calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other precision instruments High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Quality, Manufacturing Technology, or similar field preferred Performance Expectations & Success Metrics:
Ensure 100% completion of inspections according to schedule Maintain defect reporting accuracy above 98% Reduce rework or scrap rates by identifying root causes proactively Demonstrate continuous team development and quality culture improvement
