Summary Sprinturf is seeking a
Construction Estimator
who values accuracy, consistency, and independent work. You'll be responsible for producing well-documented, highly detailed estimates for civil scope work including synthetic turf, earthwork, grading, drainage, curbing, and utilities. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in doing things right the first time, enjoys working with clear expectations, and prefers a steady workload. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Receive and organize bid documents from the sales team Perform digital quantity takeoffs using PlanSwift, AGTEK, or Bluebeam Enter scope and quantities into standardized Excel estimate templates Contact vendors and subcontractors for up-to-date pricing and clarifications Review site drawings, specifications, and civil details to ensure scope alignment Submit clearly formatted bids and scope sheets for review and final pricing Track and manage multiple ongoing bids (5-8 per week) in a structured workflow Maintain accurate records and support handoffs to project management upon award
You'll typically spend most of your day working independently on detailed estimating tasks in a focused setting. We'll provide training, structured templates, and process tools to help you succeed. Success Looks Like In your first 90 days, you'll: Complete onboarding and training on our estimate templates and software Submit your first 10+ bids with coaching from our estimating lead Accurately perform takeoffs on basic and intermediate scopes Begin independently managing small-to-medium sized bid packages
By 6 months, you'll: Manage 10+ estimates per week across multiple scopes Communicate clearly with vendors to gather and confirm pricing Hit on-time submission deadlines consistently Provide clean documentation and takeoff files that can be reviewed or handed off without rework
Requirements 1+ years of experience in estimating or site construction Familiarity with subgrade prep, drainage, curbing, and utilities preferred Strong experience in Excel; ability to use PlanSwift, AGTEK, or similar software Ability to read and interpret civil and architectural drawings Strong written communication and documentation skills Organized and methodical, with a focus on steady execution PE license a plus, but not required
Compensation & Benefits Base Salary:
$70,000-$90,000 depending on experience Bonus Eligibility:
