Job Title:
Appliance Delivery Helper
Assists in the delivery of household appliances to customers' homes
Requirements:
Good customer service skills Must be able to team lift heavy appliances on a daily basis A neat and clean work appearance A good driving record Ability to pass a Department of Transportation physical Must be 21 years of age Position Description:
Plan and execute delivery activities including preparing delivery loads of appliances Follow planned delivery routes and schedule to remain timely to customers Responsible for unloading, some installing, and checking appliances and store equipment Responsible for the cleanliness and standard maintenance of delivery vehicles, Observes safety procedures regarding Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations Helps homeowners troubleshoot some questions or concerns Maintains cleanliness and respect in customer homes Plan and execute delivery activities including preparing delivery loads of lumber and building products Load and Unload building materials (lumber, windows, doors, cabinets, etc.) Responsible for unloading completely, accurately and safely each load Responsible for the cleanliness and standard maintenance of delivery vehicles, Helps jobsite move/stage items for readiness if desired Maintains cleanliness and respect in customer jobsites/ property Job Requirements:
Minimum of 40 hours per week (Average 42.5-45 hours per week) Monday - Friday schedule Physically able to move large, bulky and/or oversized appliances or lumber and various building products and merchandise into customer home or job site using a moffet and/or forklift May require prolonged standing, lifting, sitting, and other activities as job requires. Valid driver's license with clean driving record Experience operating forklift/ tow motor Experience performing in-home delivery Retail and/or customer service experience
