to manage out-of-pocket expenses The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $110,000 - $150,000 per year. GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States.
The pay range is not guaranteed compensation or salary. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for the position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. You may be eligible for additional rewards, such as a discretionary bonus (based on eligibility) and/or equity awards.
As a
Service Sales - Food & Dairy
professional at GEA, you will drive the growth of our service business across North America by promoting and selling spare parts, repairs, field services, upgrades, customized service projects, and service level agreements. This role can be based anywhere in the U.S. and requires strong collaboration with new equipment sales teams to align strategies, maximize customer satisfaction, and uncover new business opportunities.
You will serve as a key point of contact for customers within the Food & Dairy sector, playing a vital role in GEA's commitment to optimizing operational efficiency for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sales Leadership: Develop and implement service sales strategies in alignment with the Director of Service Sales and other key business stakeholders. Customer & Account Management: Build strong, lasting relationships with key accounts. Identify and pursue service sales opportunities, including upselling and cross-selling alongside the new equipment sales team. Revenue Growth: Lead service sales initiatives, including customized service packages and service level agreements. Generate quotes and follow through on closing sales opportunities in a timely manner. Market Development: Promote small and mid-sized service projects and foster long-term partnerships through value-driven service offerings. Sales Process Execution: Conduct customer visits, deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations, and participate in contract negotiations. Reporting & Forecasting: Oversee service sales planning, forecasting, and pipeline reporting for your assigned region. Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with cross-functional teams-new equipment sales, field service, engineering, and product management-to deliver comprehensive solutions. Market Intelligence: Provide feedback on market trends, customer insights, and competitive intelligence to support business strategy and product development. Brand Representation: Represent GEA at industry events and trade shows, promoting service capabilities alongside new equipment offerings. Your Profile / Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Industrial Technologies or a related field (extensive relevant experience may be considered in lieu). 5+ years of experience in service sales or capital equipment sales. Industry knowledge of food and dairy processing; experience with aseptic processing or powder packaging is a plus. Experience working remotely with a high degree of autonomy. Sales Competencies
Proven track record in B2B sales and key account development. Strong understanding of industrial service products and value-based selling. Commercial acumen and entrepreneurial mindset. Comfortable negotiating complex service contracts and managing customer expectations. Interpersonal Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong presentation and persuasion abilities, especially in customer-facing settings. High level of emotional intelligence, professionalism, and adaptability. The ability to foster trust and long-term partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. Travel
Required to travel 50-75% of the time, including occasional international travel.
