MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Assure the Facilities involving Building Maintenance are maintained in a safe, productive, and reliable manner to meet our business needs and comply with regulatory requirements for safety and environmental. Also provide qualified support for the Utilities as needed for the business.
Job Description
Role and Activity
Perform Housekeeping of various Equipment, Internal and External Areas, and various Mechanical Rooms.Perform Dry Wall repairs and modifications. Perform Wall Prime & Painting and Mechanical Integrity Piping Prime & Painting. Provide response for electrical circuit breaker trip identifications and appropriate resets and/or checks for root cause repairs as needed in a timely manner. Provide door repairs, adjustments, and/or replacements involving door closers, hinges, latches, locks, closers, and exits signs. Perform Dock Door and Levelers Checks, fill out the appropriate Checklist, provide qualified adjustments, and/or develop work requests as needed for service responses. Hang wall mounted devices for bathrooms, offices, hallways, etc. as requested. Work with a qualified Facilities Engineer/Contracted Service or attend a qualified training program to learn and become qualified to work on, eventually alone after being signed off, the Building Maintenance of the Facilities Systems mentioned in the General Function. Participate in reviewing, red-lining, and updating procedures, checklists, PM's, as well as, utilize them to perform the operations and maintenance on the systems. Perform assigned Inspections for the Mechanical Integrity of the Facilities Systems. Perform Behavioral Observation Safety (BOS's) checks as required monthly. Participate in Incident and Accident Investigations if they arise. Participate in the TPM Seven Step Process for search of Facilities root causes. Fill in for Coverage for other technician positions during their leave. As a Qualified Facilities Technician, train and work with entry level candidates and summer helpers to achieve completion of work assignments and requests. Perform non-routine tasks that support the business needs as assigned. Order correct parts as needed and recommend spare parts to order to avoid business interruptions. Focus direction for predictive and preventive maintenance measures to avoid/eliminate downtime of facilities' systems. Chaperone contractors to facilities work need areas (ex. roof leaks, replacements in kind, weather damage, interior damage, etc.) for warranty work, contracted services work, and/or for emergency responses to situations. Perform various other duties as directed by the Utilities System Manager and/or the Utilities Resource to include assistance with other departmental issues. Promote the Froneri culture of employees being owners rather than just employees. Measurable Outcomes
Production productivity • Balance maintenance on preventative vs planned rather than just corrective where it is feasible • Zero rejections for product food safety and quality issues • Daily, weekly, monthly production targets are fully met • Costs are maintained at/or below budgeted levels • Quality and improvement initiatives being implemented • An improving trend on the submitted weekly KPI's Levels of Responsibility

18 years of age or older. • Aptitude for automated mechanical processes with good troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. • Excellent interpersonal communication, math and problem solving skills. • Ability to work multiple shifts and/or schedules. Required Experience:
Minimum of two (2) years' experience as a Building Maintenance Technician incorporated as an HVAC Service Technician - CFC Universal CFC Certified or equivalent required. • Understanding and experience with Building Maintenance, HVAC, Electrical Diagnosing and Service for facilities related items, and Maintenance Service required. • Good written and communication skills. Workers often operate under strict timelines to meet production quotas. High-speed manufacturing floor with frequent movement, line assignment changes, and tight production timelines. Standing for Long Hours:

The pay scale for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The pay range for prospective employees in this role is between $23.98 to $27.91 per hour with opportunities for overtime, shift differential, cold premium pay and annual bonuses (variable depending on company performance).
