We are hiring a Vice President of Marketing to join our executive team in Colorado.
Job Summary:
The Vice President of Marketing is responsible for leading the strategic marketing efforts for a national real estate platform, overseeing brand positioning, demand generation, digital engagement, and stakeholder communications. This executive-level role will shape and execute marketing initiatives that enhance visibility, accelerate leasing performance, and strengthen brand equity across a geographically diverse portfolio. The VP will partner closely with cross-functional leadership to ensure marketing strategies are aligned with broader business goals and effectively support both stabilized and growth-stage assets across the country.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Develop and execute comprehensive, data driven, marketing strategies aligned with asset business plans and corporate goals, with a focus on lead generation, lease conversions, and resident retention. Partner with Regional Managers and Community Managers to determine and implement appropriate marketing campaigns to increase traffic and leasing. Identify challenges and emerging issues faced by the organization, working with leadership team and staff to recognize internal and external marketing opportunities and solutions. Develop a playbook for underperforming assets Collaborate with IT and digital teams to manage all aspects of the company website, digital ad performance, SEO/SEM, and marketing automation tools. Proactively monitor market dynamics, including competitive activity, consumer and technology trends and other influencers. Research and identify external marketing and advertising resources as needed. Oversee digital engagement strategy including social media, online reputation, and localized contact marketing tailored to a diverse resident base. Craft, in partnership with the VP of Operations, marketing plans that detail effective strategies for existing communities and acquisitions. Direct the creation of marketing materials and signage for all communities and acquisitions. Monitor property specific advertising, signs, communication, and collateral materials to ensure they conform to brand standards. Ensure consistent brand across all communities, adapting materials for rebranding and repositioning campaigns during renovations or acquisitions. Manage virtual catalog of promotional items that properties use for ordering. Identify, recommend, and manage opportunities to market the company at industry events. Prepare, monitor, and adhere to departmental budgets and ensure compliance. Report budget concerns or deviations to the COO. Manage the relationship with call centers to ensure inquiries are handled effectively. Utilize marketing metrics to allocate funds appropriately. Lead, mentor and scale a lean marketing team capable of executing across a diverse national portfolio. Foster performance, accountability, and innovation. Lead the development and execution of public relations and crisis communication strategies to protect and enhance the company's reputation, including timely response protocols, media coordination, and internal communication alignment during high-impact events. Education & Certifications:
A Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or Business or equivalent job experience is required. Qualifications:
5-10 years of progressive experience in brand strategy, integrated marketing, and digital engagement across diverse platforms and markets 5 + years of senor leadership experience building and managing high-performing marketing teams Proven ability to oversee complex, multi-channel initiatives while managing competing priorities and leveraging external agency partnerships Exceptional cross-functional collaborator with a track record of fostering alignment between marketing, operations and executive leadership Deep expertise in website development, social media management, and content strategy to drive engagement and lead generation Demonstrated success in designing and executing impactful marketing campaigns and experiential events Technology adept with proficiency Microsoft Office Suite, and marketing and operations technology platforms including Yardi, revenue management, and major ILS systems. Familiarity with centralized leasing and customer engagement platforms Strategic and solutions-oriented, with a creative approach to problem solving and continuous optimization Proven experience in managing public relations and crisis communication, including media relations, issue response planning, and reputation management during high-impact or sensitive situations Willingness to travel as needed to support a geographically distributed portfolio and team
