Job Summary We are looking for a Senior Maintenance Mechanic to join our Landfill Team! The purpose of this position is to evaluate, maintain, monitor, operate, and repair landfill gas and leachate collection systems on site. The responsibilities involve; conducting preventative maintenance, controlling workflow and quality, troubleshoot equipment & systems, preparing state reports and maintaining records for site compliance. Essential Job Functions This position will provide monitoring, operation and maintenance, and performance services to the Landfill Gas Control and Leachate Collections Systems for the Landfill Department in accordance with the facility's Landfill Gas Management Plan. Troubleshoot and repairs mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic components. Perform environmental compliance and technical tasks associated with well field system monitoring, explosive gas monitoring, Flare troubleshooting and monitoring with gas-analyzing equipment. Perform environmental compliance and technical tasks associated with Leachate Collection System, which include but are not limited to liquid level monitoring at risers, pulling and cleaning submersible pumps, reporting pump failures, maintaining records, and communicating findings. Regular and consistent attendance and punctuality Keep work areas clean and safe All other duties as assigned by the manager within your department/division. Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Minimum of a high school Diploma, GED or equivalent plus 6 months of advanced training or study. Experience:
1 year working with heavy equipment, 1 year of experience working with schematic diagrams and diagnostic equipment. 1 year of experience performing diagnostic, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance on landfill gas and leachate system preferred. Licenses : Valid Texas driver's license
