Account Manager Responsibilities: The Account Manager will have the overall responsibility for account management including: Growth of existing accounts within the territory. Developing new accounts within the territory. Presenting new product solutions to existing accounts and new markets. Learn new products and solutions as they become available. Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. Minimum 3-5 years of experience with industrial automation sales. Desire to grow professionally. Preferred Background:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. Job Description:
PURPOSE
Responsible for all sales activities within designated territory, including maintaining existing business, building relationships, seeking growth opportunities and driving new sales.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Accountable for meeting sales targets. Conducts presentations and sales calls at all priority accounts, focusing on creating and closing opportunities consistent with sales platform requirements. Maintains daily contact with accounts via various communication channels or onsite visits. Provides customers with new product information, technology training and actively participating in new product launches and continually keeping up to date on new systems and products. Appropriately utilizes various internal resources within designated territory, such as Mobile Exhibit, Sales or Technical Representatives. Maintains and builds relationships with external and internal personnel in numerous departments. Assists customer service with pricing, quotes, delivery and technical assistance, with the appropriate sense of urgency. Collaborates with customers to define product requirements, in line with the business strategy, to close opportunities. Maintains a sense of ownership for orders, from initating through installation, including expediting as necessary. Reports daily activities and maintains priority accounts in CRM software. Actively participates in shop floor meetings and meeting/exceeding established KPI's. Prospects for new business, using internal and external resources and follows up on leads to grow the territory. Maintains a safe, secure and legal work environment. Maintains detailed records and prepares communications as needed. Interacts professionally on a regular basis with staff and the general public. Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education : Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
Work Experience : Minimum 3 year of related sales experience

Certificates & Licenses : Valid drivers license, passport for Canadian residents

Equipment:
Nature of work requires an ability to operate standard business office equipment.
Lift/Stand/Carry:
Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 lbs. independently.
PPE:
Regularly required to wear safety glasses, ear plugs, safety vest, hard hat, long sleeves & belt protectors when visiting customer plants.
Misc:
Requires ability to communicate and exchange information, collect, compile and prepare work documents, set-up and maintain work files.
Participation:
Requires participation and attendance at organization sponsored events and meetings.
