TS/SCI with Polygraph About the Role: The Senior Principal Linux Administrator will play a vital role in supporting a Raytheon program within a classified environment. You will be an integral part of our mission to help defend freedoms and deter aggression. Key Responsibilities: Build, maintain, and secure Information Technology systems while supporting mission-critical capabilities. Collaborate with program developers and system engineers to troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions. Provide occasional after-hour maintenance and on-call support, with the ability to lift up to 35 pounds for hardware installations. Travel may be required for installation support. This role is fully onsite. Qualifications You Must Have: Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with at least 6 years of relevant experience. Active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance is essential prior to the start date. Active cyber security certification meeting DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 requirements upon start. Acceptable certifications include Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, CySA+, CND. Proven experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems. Skilled in using automation tools such as Ansible and scripting languages including Bash and Python. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with virtualized environments through VMware vCenter for systems, storage, and networking administration. Familiarity managing network devices. Experience with Windows-based systems administration. Knowledge of pipeline tools such as Jenkins and Artifactory. Demonstrated ability to work independently and efficiently troubleshoot problems. The salary for this position ranges from $101,000 to $203,000 depending on experience and qualifications. RTX is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
