This is a skilled labor position that performs various building, construction and maintenance duties including plumbing, backflow, janitorial, electrical, HVAC, masonry and carpentry depending on specialty and license as well as the associated administrative work.

Essential Job Functions The job functions listed herein are neither exclusive nor exhaustive but are intended to be illustrative of the types of tasks the employee will most likely be expected to perform on a regular basis. Opens, closes and cleans park shelters, restrooms and buildings. Performs all aspects of building maintenance work including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, janitorial, carpentry, locksets, painting interiors and exteriors of buildings and structures, masonry and stonework. Monitors the safe use of tools, equipment and other machinery and corrects and/or stops any unsafe practices. Uses hand and power tools as needed; operates power equipment, e.g., mowers, tractors, loaders, trucks, snowplows, etc. Performs snow and ice removal; salts sidewalks. Set up and take down of holiday lights and displays. Installs park signs, light poles, basketball posts, backboards and other items as requested. Assists in training of new full or part time employees and seasonals. Assists in planning and coordination of Special Events. Set up and take down for Special Events. Set up and take down for Recreation programs and rentals. Design and fabrication of custom structures, equipment, devices, etc. for Recreation programs and Special Events. Repair and maintenance of boat piers, sound (PA) systems, and other miscellaneous structures and facilities. Performs rubbish collection and recycling. Marks underground utilities within parks. Work in confined spaces. Order and requisition needed materials, supplies and equipment while maintaining costs within budgetary constraints. Obtains quotes for professional services on related buildings projects. May require weekend and holiday work hours. Attends seminars, workshops, conferences, classes as needed to maintain certifications and licenses. Electrical/HVAC

:

Performs all aspects of electrical and HVAC construction, maintenance, repairs and new installation, which is permitted by a HVAC Qualifier Certification, City of Waukesha HVAC License or approved equivalent. EPA Section 608 Universal Refrigerant Certification within 1 year of hire. Completes heating, ventilation and air conditioning maintenance and repairs as needed on various building systems throughout the Department. Performs building construction and maintenance in accordance with City, State and Federal building codes. Maintains inventory and detailed records of work completed on electric light poles in parks, parking lots, athletic fields and shelters. Maintains a workable inventory of commonly used parts and repair items orders necessary parts and equipment as needed to complete assigned duties while staying within predefined allowance limits. Prepares and maintains maintenance records and annual inspection forms. Works with City Fire Department and contracted service provider to complete annual inspections as requested to fire detection and suppression systems. Necessary Special Requirements

HVAC Qualifier Certification, City of Waukesha HVAC License or approved equivalent. Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) or Certified Pool Operator (CPO) within 1 year of hire. Ability to pass drug and alcohol tests pre-and post-hire. CPR/AED/First Aid Certification within one year of hire.* Forklift Certification within one year of hire.* Commercial Driver's License Preferred, Not Required. *City provides for all required training (CDL, AFO, CPR, etc.). *Actual completion is dependent on the timing of the annual group staff training cycles.
