ABOUT THE JOB

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for delivering all facets of recruiting success for the hourly workforce across assigned division(s). This role will utilize traditional and creative sourcing strategies, build strategic partnerships with internal stakeholders and external networks, and contribute to the development of innovative and efficient recruiting practices. The Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring staffing needs are met for both current and future workforce demands, while fostering a positive candidate experience. This position will also support the recruiting process for salaried roles as needed and will act as a liaison between operational leaders and HR to ensure hiring strategies align with business goals.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Lead all facets of the recruiting process including requisition management, job postings, advertising, resume review, interview scheduling, and candidate communications. Build strong partnerships with hiring managers, operational leaders, and HR to understand business goals and maintain staffing levels aligned with organizational needs. Source and attract candidates through networking, job fairs, community organizations, colleges, agencies, online platforms, and recruitment events (virtual and in-person). Administer and track pre-boarding activities such as background checks, drug screens, physicals, and onboarding documentation to ensure timely and compliant hiring processes. Coordinate interviews, travel arrangements, lodging, and community tours as needed for management-level candidates. Support recruiting efforts for salaried positions as assigned within the respective region. Ensure a high-quality candidate experience through professional, timely, and engaging communication. Conduct and manage applicant evaluations, assessments, and selection processes. Identify and implement process improvements to streamline and enhance recruiting practices. Maintain recruiting data, metrics, and reports within the ATS and provide updates to leadership. Stay current with recruiting trends, labor laws, and best practices through ongoing training and professional development. Participate in recruiting-related training and contribute to team collaboration and innovation. Perform other related and assigned duties as necessary. WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Education/Certification:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university Experience:

3 to 7 years of recruiting experience, focused on high-volume, hourly roles in a manufacturing or distribution environment Knowledge (Level):

Full life cycle recruiting –

Journey High-volume hourly workforce staffing –

Journey DOL, EEOC, and OFCCP regulations –

Basic Interviewing techniques and candidate assessments –

Journey Applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HR databases –

Basic Communication and persuasion skills across organizational levels –

Journey Time-sensitive, deadline-driven work environments –

Journey Selection processes (phone screens, reference checks, etc.) –

Basic Decision-making and prioritization –
