Third shift Maintenance Technician Needed Full Time, Full Benefits
10pm to 6:30am
$26 - $28/hr Plus $3/hr differential for working 3rd shift!
That’s $29 - $31/hr!
Summary The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of manufacturing equipment and facility systems. This role involves performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues, and supporting machine installations and facility upkeep. The technician will also read and modify ladder logic and schematics, track and complete work orders, and ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards. Candidates should have a strong technical background, including experience with PLC systems (Mitsubishi, Siemens, Automation Direct), relay control systems, and plastic blow molding operations. The role requires a high level of attention to safety, cleanliness, and process documentation in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Receive and follow up on assigned equipment work orders daily. Upon completion of work, enter appropriate information onto worksheets for submission and filing and/or into the MRP system for tracking. Read schematics to troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues. Read, edit, monitor, and modify ladder logic. Perform scheduled PMs; visually inspect and test assigned machines and equipment for proper functionality. Place orders for requisition parts as needed. Perform repairs on production machines and/or equipment when malfunctions are detected. May consult with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose and resolve issues. Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related components. Perform machine installations, relocations, and building maintenance tasks as required. Assist workers in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment. Develop, coordinate, and track project list activities. Ensure a high level of safety is always maintained on and off the production floor. Perform all duties associated with Maintenance Technician Levels I and II. Adhere to plant-specified job specifications and task lists. Conduct oneself in a safe manner and comply with all required safety protocols and policies. Qualifications
Must have at least 3 years of experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical. Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED, plus technical certificate(s) Minimum of three years of related experience Additional Work Experience
Experience with plastic blow molding operations (injection blow molding, extrusion blow molding, etc.) is a plus Working knowledge of relay control systems and PLC control systems, including Mitsubishi, Siemens, and Automation Direct is a plus Ability to read, edit, monitor, and modify ladder logic Proficient in reading schematics to troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues
