Join our dedicated team and ensure that our facilities and grounds are maintained to promote optimal productivity in our distribution center operations. As a Maintenance Specialist III, you will be responsible for high-level repairs in various maintenance disciplines (electrical, mechanical, etc.), and may also take on supervisory roles for other maintenance staff in some locations. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS In this role, you will: Handle daily maintenance and repair tasks for all facilities and grounds systems, including structural components, electrical work, plumbing, roofing repairs, carpentry, painting, welding, and parking lot maintenance. Implement ongoing preventative maintenance for operational systems in the distribution center, including HVAC systems, electrical units, lighting, roofing systems, generators, parking lots, fans, restrooms, and other plumbing systems. Monitor repair and maintenance efforts to ensure the efficient and cost-effective use of resources such as manpower, equipment, supplies, and hardware/software. Propose innovative and cost-saving ideas for better facility and grounds utilization. Manage the bidding and procurement of facilities maintenance supplies and equipment, while tracking purchase orders, receivables, and invoicing. Supervise contracted work according to the approved standard bidding process and management review. Oversee construction projects on-site, including remodels and new construction, ensuring timely and high-quality completion. Construct distribution center-related equipment such as picking carts, mailboxes, and tote hooks. Collaborate with distribution center management and Safety Manager (if applicable) to ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements. Communicate any maintenance issues or projects with distribution center management effectively. Provide after-hours assistance for emergencies or inclement weather, including assessing snow removal needs. Act as a trainer for new team members, ensuring compliance with the DC target training program and that all training is conducted on schedule with complete documentation. Uphold safety standards while operating equipment, identifying and addressing unsafe practices and situations. Perform all other duties as assigned. SKILLS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Required:

4-5 years of experience in management or high-level responsibility for facilities. Desired:

High school diploma or equivalent (GED); certification or journeyman status in one or more trades; college or technical degree in Facilities Management, Maintenance, Construction, or Real Estate building trade; fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).
