Your Responsibilities as a Sales Territory Manager: Champion Customer Relationships:
Take charge of nurturing customer relationships by educating them on ordering platforms, and providing tailored menu consultations, product recommendations, and pricing strategies that ensure their success.
Achieve Sales Targets:
Your performance will be evaluated based on your ability to sell to customers, grow case volume, and acquire new business. You'll deliver compelling sales presentations and adapt your approach to meet individual customer needs. Effective time and territory management will be essential.
Collaborate with the Team:
Work in partnership with our Specialists to optimize existing opportunities and help new accounts thrive. Stay connected with marketing, supply chain, and customer service to guarantee smooth product delivery.
Gain Insights:
Drive new business by identifying prospective customers using market intelligence databases, business directories, leads from current clients, and participation in organizations and events.
Ensure Delivery Excellence:
Oversee deliveries according to the transportation department's routing schedule and proactively resolve any issues that arise during the order process (e.g., delivery errors, short supplies, stockouts).
Stay Informed:
Be knowledgeable about market conditions, product innovations, and competitor activities to provide valuable insights to customers as part of our comprehensive services.
Travel to Success:
Use your personal vehicle to conduct regular check-ins, site visits, and follow-ups to guarantee customer satisfaction.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: No direct reports. The position involves daily travel outside the office, visiting clients in various weather conditions. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Over 1 year of sales experience is preferred.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
A valid driver's license with a good motor vehicle record is required.
Experience in the foodservice industry, culinary arts, restaurant management, or hospitality is a plus.
Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written, along with strong presentation abilities.
Proven ability to build relationships and cold call to generate new business.
Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
A competitive spirit with a determination to exceed goals.
Strong problem-solving, organization, and negotiation capabilities.
A collaborative mindset to work effectively with internal and external teams.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with CRM tools like Salesforce is advantageous.
