Job Description

Assistant General Manager

We are looking for a dedicated and committed Assistant General Manager. You will play a key role in leading our team to exceed guest expectations and support property-wide initiatives.

What You'll Do:

Focus on routine operational tasks and supervision of team members in their assignments

Perform additional duties as required by the business or for career advancement training

Ensure guest satisfaction and efficient hotel operations by supervising back-of-house departments in the absence of the General Manager or Manager on Duty

Support the General Manager in:

Driving hotel profitability through revenue generation and cost control

Ensuring guest satisfaction

Developing and supporting associates

Provide support across multiple property departments, including:

Housekeeping

Engineering/Maintenance

Front Office

Follow up on all empowerment successes and opportunities with the General Manager.

Assist the General Manager with the creation of financial reports as required by the Corporate Office.

Participate in required M.O.D. coverage as scheduled.

Ensure that training in service standards is taking place in each department using the steps to effective training.

Assist the General Manager in recruiting, hiring and training for departments based on occupancy.

Experience in hospitality management or a related field

Organized and detail-oriented

Proactive and positive approach to leadership

Able to motivate team members and drive guest satisfaction
