Lead Customer Service Assistant i s the go-to expert for creating outstanding customer experiences. In this dynamic role, you'll guide customers through library services and circulation policies, handle checkouts, returns, and renewals, and ensure materials are in top condition and routed to the right places. You'll also take charge of daily operations reporting and help maintain a smooth workflow. Flexibility and adaptability are key, as you'll shift between tasks and locations throughout the day-all to deliver exceptional service and keep our library running at its best.

Glenpool Library offers a variety of programming for all ages and interests, including musical storytimes, messy art projects, STEM activities and handcrafts for tweens & teens, and a weekly craft and knitting circle that is always up to something fun.

Some of the Essential Functions & Qualifications Include:

Answers customer questions surrounding reference and reader's advisory; Assists customers with self-check-out machines by instructing how to charge, renew, and discharge library materials to/from customers; May schedule and organize meeting room bookings for location; May serve as Person in Charge, as needed; Maintains periodical collections, sorts gift items, and prepares new books for circulation as directed; Assists customers with basic technology and Internet problems; May assist Librarians with programming, as assigned; If serving as Person in Charge, may direct tasks of Customer Service Assistants, Shelvers and volunteers; High school diploma or G.E.D. required; If not already certified, must complete the TCCLU Lead CSA Certification Program (an in-house certification program) within 12 months of starting the position.

Salary:

$16.25/hr.

Status:

Part Time - 20 hr./week

Schedule :

Monday 10 am - 6 pm

Tuesday 12 pm - 6 pm

Friday 10 am - 6 pm

Rotating the 2nd Saturday / month 10 am - 5 pm

Occasional 5th Saturday as needed 10 am - 5 pm

Physical and Environmental Conditions:

Work occasionally requires stooping or bending. Occasional light lifting, such as three or four reams of paper, four or five books, or other materials (up to 20 pounds) may be required.

Work is typically conducted indoors with acceptable lighting, temperature and air conditions.

Routine in-town travel may be required occasionally.
