Description
Position Summary: Hanover Foods Corporation seeks an experienced
Maintenance Leadperson
to join our
Frozen Maintenance Department on Second Shift . This position directs maintenance personnel to support operations, ensures plant equipment and facilities remain functional, and identifies potential issues to implement corrective actions.
Shift Schedule: Second Shift:
Hours vary based on production needs. Must be available for overtime as required. Key Responsibilities:
Direct and coordinate
maintenance personnel
to support plant operations efficiently. Perform
repairs, installation, and maintenance
of plant equipment and buildings with minimal supervision. Identify potential equipment and facility issues and
initiate corrective actions . Conduct and oversee
preventative maintenance
to ensure optimal efficiency. Ensure all maintenance-related
documentation
is completed as required by management. Adhere to
food safety, hygiene, and regulatory compliance
policies, including
GMPs, HACCP, and plant security . Operate the
computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
to manage work requests and equipment data. Train and instruct maintenance employees to ensure safety and efficiency. Inspect job assignments to ensure work is completed to standard. Provide recommendations for improving maintenance processes and equipment efficiency. Maintain a
clean and organized
work area that complies with company standards. Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical problems, implementing appropriate solutions. Furnish and maintain personal tools necessary to complete job assignments. Perform additional duties as assigned by the
Plant Manager - Frozen Operations . Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Previous
food processing experience is required. General knowledge of
food processing principles
and
maintenance operations . Strong
communication skills
and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Ability to multi-task and work in a
fast-paced, challenging environment . Must be comfortable working in
hot and cold environments . Must maintain a
good attendance record
and adhere to
safe work habits . Preferred Qualifications:
Previous
experience in maintenance
within a food processing facility. Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, stretch, and work with hands for extended periods. Must be able to lift and carry up to
100 pounds
as required. Work in environments with
varying temperatures and loud noise levels . Compensation & Benefits:
