Education

Graduate of an accredited Imaging Program, LPN, Paramedic, EMT or licensed clinical professional Two (2) years college preferred Experience / Qualifications

Florida licensure if applicable Required Certification if applicable BLS certification through the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers Two (2) Years of Experience Breath and Alcohol (BAT) experience, BAT provisional trainer preferred Audiometry experience, CAOHC certified preferred. Proficient computer skills Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing Position Summary

The Lead Technologist assists in the daily operation of the Urgent Care department, assures prompt and efficient flow of patients through the department coordinating testing procedures with other modalities.

Performs necessary quality assurance tests and monitors overall quality of exams performed daily. Assists in maintaining accurate records of technical staff to assure all licensure requirements are fulfilled. Clinical training and orientation. Ensuring compliance with standard clinical workflows, documentation, policies and procedures. Developing, implementing, and monitoring new clinical workflows, documentation, policies, and procedures as needed. Assists in maintaining logs for maintenance of equipment and schedules service when necessary. Completes annual competency reviews. Completes annual evaluations reviews in collaboration with Supervisor of Operations and Operations Manager. Assists with maintaining quality control standards in accordiance with UCA standards. Performs management duties including but not limited to: maintaining productivity, expediting patient flow and communication to ensure service excellence. Demonstrates flexibility as needed to maintain the workflow. Demonstrates proficiency in resolving customer problems. Maintains inventory levels and assures that sufficient quantities of clinical supplies are on hand at all times. Demonstrates an advanced knowledge of the human anatomy & pathology and can use this knowledge to provide quality images for interpretation. Works with the Operations Managers to ensure maintenance of all regulatory requirements. Proficient in IT systems including PACS and Epic. Performs other duties assigned. Team Member Competencies

Physical Requirements

This job can be physically demanding at times requiring stooping, sitting, standing, and walking for long periods of time. The team member will need to frequently assist lifting patients and heavy equipment. Must be able to work in a stressful environment, work independently, making sound decisions, detail oriented, alert, and self-motivated. Ability to push/pull up to 40lbs, carry and lift up to 50lbs.

Threshold Requirements

These threshold requirements are required and completed yearly basis.

Annual Joint Commission mandatory education requirements, in-service and health requirements including attendance at new employee orientation. TB/PPD Surveillance Program Maintenance of required professional licensing and/or certification(s).
