Location: Irving, Texas; GHTX Offices (On-Site) Reports to: Director of Strategic Communications

Status: Full-Time, Exempt with Benefits

Travel: Occasional local or state travel may be required

Position Overview

Reporting to the Director of Strategic Communications, the Marketing & Communications Manager executes creative and content strategies that advance enrollment, fundraising, and brand awareness. This position manages graphic design projects, multimedia vendor coordination, and day-to-day marketing execution across digital, print, and social channels.

The Marketing & Communications Manager plays a key role in telling the story of Great Hearts Texas by creating compelling visuals and campaigns that reflect the mission and values of the organization. This role partners with the Enrollment, Development, and Executive teams and supports individual campuses with marketing deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing: Manage editorial content for Great Hearts Texas' external communication to promote strong brand storytelling on its mission, organizational successes, scholars, and faculty. Drive GHTX social media efforts, including campaign creation and execution, training school social media administrators, and driving traffic and engagement to GHTX Texas pages. Drive production of digital and print collateral for advertising and brand awareness campaigns. Manage photo, video, and design production for multiple creative pipelines, timelines, asset delivery, and quality control to ensure seamless execution. Support enrollment advertising efforts through design, copywriting, and campaign assets. Oversee day-to-day social media activity across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.). Track and report on paid and organic performance and provide recommendations to the Director of Strategic Communications. Monitor funnel analytics, adjust strategies, and marketing-automation workflows to improve engagement and reach. Assist in managing the GHTX website and academy subsites; support page updates and SEO optimization. Communications:

Support district-wide communications, press releases, and executive announcements. Source and produce long-form content (blog posts, impact reports) that reinforces thought leadership and SEO presence. Travel regularly to academies to capture campus life, scholar achievement, and cultural events. Write and edit clear, engaging copy for multiple audiences. Support media and public-facing events such as ribbon cuttings, groundbreakings, or donor events. Participate in emergency and crisis communications in collaboration with the Director of Strategic Communications. In addition, other projects, workstreams, and priorities as assigned. Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree with a focus in Marketing, Communications, or a related field. 3 years of professional experience in marketing, communications, or design. Demonstrated experience in developing and executing successful campaign strategies and content calendars. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a portfolio of work showcasing strong writing and content creation abilities. High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and information. Proficiency with social media management platforms and content creation tools. Strong writing and editing skills with a clear, adaptable voice. Ability to travel to campuses across Texas as needed. Preferred Skills

Experience with CRM and campaign platform. Adobe Creative Suite or adjacent design platform experience Familiarity with school enrollment strategy or K-12 marketing. WordPress or basic web editing and SEO knowledge. Fluency with Asana, Monday, or similar PM tools Spanish fluency is a plus. Mission alignment with public charter classical education, self-direction, and the ability to thrive in a lean, "player-coach" environment.
