Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Purchasing Manager, the Expeditor will be responsible for expediting the purchase orders from various suppliers.
Responsibilities:
Determine material and supply needs through MRP and expedite orders to meet project requirements. Expedite supplier backlogs weekly based on planning schedules and update purchase order delivery in ManEx. Follow up with suppliers on shortage. Interface with Quality, Material, Production, Planner, Receiving/Shipping, Engineering and Program Managers. Resolve any disputes arise from receiving material or lack of documentation to accept material. Build relationships with vendors. Coordinate with vendors to ensure orders are delivered on time. 4. File purchase orders.
Education/Skills: 1. High School Diploma. 2. At least one year of purchasing experience (preferably in the manufacturing industry). 3. Independent and self-motivated. 4. Ability to work in fast-pace contract manufacturing environment. 5. Strong interpersonal skill to work with team members and various departments, suppliers, and customers. 6. Great communication skills.
