The Maintenance Supervisor performs complex maintenance and repairs to distribution center equipment and related facilities. Such repairs may include, but are not limited to the following: conveyor systems, fork lifts, tow motors, lighting systems, electric motors, and safety related systems. The incumbent has a comprehensive knowledge of the operation of the systems listed above. The incumbent may be licensed in a maintenance related discipline.

Responsibilities

Overseer maintenance operations Guide and develop associate mechanics Competence of mechanics Development of associate mechanics for expanded responsibilities Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company's policies and vision Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures Maintain standards of health and safety Liaise with clients, suppliers and transport companies Assign tasks appropriately and appraise results Coach and motivate employees Produce reports and statistics regularly Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided Skills

Proven work experience as a Maintenance Supervisor Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases Leadership skills and ability to manage a team Strong decision making and problem solving skills Excellent communication skills
