What You Will Do The Triage Nurse Manager is responsible for promoting a positive patient and employee experience and expediting workflow within the adult and pediatric triage nurse teams as well as providing back-up telephone triage nursing care to patients. The Opportunity Participates in staff supervision, performance evaluation, merit increases and disciplinary action; evaluates staff and teams for continuous safety, quality, professional development and process improvement. Maintains working knowledge of all roles and responsibilities within the adult and pediatric triage nurse teams. Provides direct oversight and day to day leadership to the adult and pediatric triage teams to promote a sense of cohesiveness and effective team interactions across disciplines, while promoting efficient operations and positive patient experience and engagement. Fields first line resolution of patient concerns, complaints or questions regarding policies and procedures. Schedules staff and coordination of services to maintain workflow continuity as appropriate to ensure adherence to quality standards, or best practice standards utilizing MASAC guidelines and WHF Hemophilia Management Guidelines, established IHI/IHTC procedures, and timeline commitments. Oversees the training and instruction of new triage staff in job duties. Disaster point person, in coordination with leadership regarding safety and direction of patients and staff during fire, tornado, or other emergencies Requirements
Minimum 2 years of experience collaborating with patients with a chronic disease, preferably 1 year of hematology experience. Minimum 1 year leadership experience Valid RN license in the state of Indiana; valid BLS certificate Valid driver's license and automobile insurance is required. Occasional travel is a requirement of this role. All IHI employees are expected to enable multi-factor authentication via their personal smart phone/smart device in order to access IHI systems as a requirement of the role.
