Job Title: Freight Handler
Location: Fort Collins, CO
Type: Contract to Hire

Overview:
Responsible for shipping orders according to customer demands. Supports production schedule, manages inventory levels, and maintains proper storage of materials.
Responsibilities:
Know and practice safety procedures to ensure no harm comes to self, fellow employees or damage to product, equipment or building.
Train appropriate personnel in material movement and handling techniques.
Packages, crates, bundles, and prepares product for shipment.
Prepares pallet shipments against customer and company requirements for freight shipping
Responsible for the input and access of information on the computer system as required.
Responsible for following quality system procedures. Assist in procedure development when required. Ensures product quality and takes appropriate action when non-conformances are identified. Keeps an accurate record, as required.
Ensure all customer orders are placed in the correct designated shipping pallets organized by carrier
Ships regular shipments out of system. Verify count of material being shipped by checking item quantities and descriptions against the customer order.
Ensures that all international orders have correct customs and product information
Conduct cycle counts including quantities and lots to ensure inventory accuracy
Maintain and perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment; know and practice good housekeeping providing a safe work environment.
Assemble product and kits according to established procedures and work instructions
Pull and process rework and PTO orders to production assembly lines, Kanban areas and staging areas.
Be available for overtime as required.
Understand and be guided by company and department mission and goals.
Conduct all activities in a fair, ethical manner which is compliant with all corporate policies.
Must be able to be flexible and assist in any other area of shipping or production based on production and company needs.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High School Diploma required
Minimum of 1+ year of experience picking and packing orders
Ecommerce experience a plus
Material Handling experience a plus
Ability to do transactions in systems such as SAP, Oracle
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. required
