Own and cultivate customer relationships within a team-based sales environment. Educate clients on our ordering platforms and provide tailored menu consultations, product recommendations, and pricing strategies to support their success.
Drive Sales Performance:
Measure your success through effective sales to customers, increasing case growth, and acquiring new business. Deliver impactful sales presentations while customizing your sales strategy for individual customer needs, and effectively manage your time and territory.
Collaborative Selling:
Work closely with our Specialists to maximize penetration opportunities and assist with onboarding new accounts. Collaborate with marketing, supply chain, and customer service to ensure a seamless delivery process.
Lead with Market Insight:
Identify potential customers to develop new business utilizing market intelligence databases, business directories, existing client leads, and your participation in organizations and trade shows.
Manage Delivery Issues:
Oversee deliveries according to the routing schedule and address any issues that arise during the order process, such as delivery discrepancies or stock shortages.
Stay Informed:
Be knowledgeable about market trends, product innovations, and competitors' offerings; share valuable insights with customers as part of our service commitment.
Be Active and Engaged:
Use your personal vehicle for regular customer check-ins, site visits, and follow-ups to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.
SUPERVISION No direct reports.
WORK ENVIRONMENT Work primarily outside the office in your assigned territory, visiting customers in various weather conditions.
[Visiting prospects in the Hoffman Estates and Schaumburg areas]. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 1+ years of sales experience is preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent.
A valid driver's license is required, with a clean motor vehicle record.
Foodservice industry, culinary, restaurant management, or hospitality experience is preferred.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills, along with strong presentation abilities.
Ability to develop internal and external relationships and effectively cold call for new business opportunities.
Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills.
A competitive spirit and motivation to exceed performance goals.
Strong problem-solving, organizational, and negotiation skills.
Team-oriented mindset to collaborate effectively with internal and external partners.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with CRM tools, such as Salesforce, is a plus.
