This temporary position is located in Raleigh - Wake County.
Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $17.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).
This temporary position will be assigned to the Department of Health and Human Services. This position is located at 3301 Terminal Dr, Raleigh, NC 27604. Disability Determination Services (DDS) is responsible for adjudicating disability applications under the Social Security, Supplemental Security and Medical Assistance programs. The Mailroom Clerk is responsible for sorting, opening, and distributing incoming mail and claims to the DDS. Outgoing mail/cases are reviewed, boxed for mailing, prepared for shipment and dispersed to the appropriate pick-up/receiving area. A mailroom clerk is required to operate high speed digital printers and intelligent and non-intelligent high-speed mail insertion equipment to process customer documents. This work is in a fast-paced production environment with daily timelines to ensure the appropriate movement of incoming and outgoing correspondence. Mail procedures require the adherence to the USPS regulations governing mail and adherence to federal privacy regulations. The mailroom clerk must verify accuracy, perform troubleshooting, and correct incoming work in process. They must also align inserter operation to meet the needs of downstream processes. The mailroom clerk must set up and operate inserter equipment with precision, meet production targets and goals. The mailroom clerk must adhere to company's operational and safety policies and guidelines. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Demonstrated ability to exercise attention to detail in work tasks. Demonstrated experience in switching between multiple tasks.
