This temporary position is located in Raleigh - Wake County.
Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $18.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).
This temporary position will be assigned to the Department of Health and Human Services. This position is located at 3301 Terminal Dr, Raleigh, NC 27604. The Consultative Examination Scheduler in CEC schedules appointment requests by the agency's Case Processing Units. Consultative Examination Control (CEC) Scheduler's process and schedule medical examination requests for the Division of DHHS that makes the medical determination for Social Security Disability and Medicaid benefits. DDS maintains and utilizes a panel of physicians, psychologists and other health professionals to perform these examinations. Each CEC Scheduler is assigned a section (based on county) of the State of North Carolina and are responsible for scheduling appointments in those counties. There are 100 counties in North Carolina. The staff maintains comprehensive electronic files on the panel of medical providers. The Consultative Examination (CE) Scheduler prepares and compiles statistical data, transmitted electronically to the Unit Supervisor daily. The CE Schedulers provides direction to the Disability Analysts and often the on-site Medical Consultants to ensure examinations requested are accurate and age appropriate. This position must apply sound knowledge and deep critical thinking skills to determine the accurate (Current Procedural Terminology) CPT and International Classification of Diseases (ICD) 10 codes. The CE Scheduler must be well-versed in the areas of medical evidence, diagnostic testing and conflict resolution. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies NOTE: Qualified applicants must meet and CLEARLY reflect on their application training and experience and all knowledge, skills, abilities, and any experience or competencies specified in the posting and/or supplemental question(s) to be considered.
