Responsibilities and Duties:
Review service reports, site visits, and technical evaluations to develop cost-effective estimates for repairs, retrofits, and small projects.
Prepare labor, material, and equipment takeoffs using industry-standard estimating practices.
Collaborate with service managers, field technicians, and account managers to ensure alignment and accuracy of estimates.
Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors for pricing and technical support.
Track and follow up on open quotes and work with team members to convert estimates into approved work.
Assist with standardizing estimating templates and improving the estimating workflow.
Maintain a clear understanding of current market pricing and labor rates.
Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience in HVAC estimating, preferably with a focus on service or repair work. Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, components, and service practices. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, scopes of work, and specifications. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Proficient with estimating software, Microsoft Excel, and general computer skills. Strong organizational and time management skills with a high attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications:
Prior field experience as a technician or installer. Experience with service management software (e.g., BuildOps, ServiceTitan, etc.) Familiarity with pricing databases and vendor portals. Education: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent Benefits:
