Scope of Responsibility

Join Cascade Engineering (CE) as an Associate Accountant/Accounts Payable Clerk to support our Finance team with accurate invoice processing and general accounting tasks. This role requires attention to detail, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office, and the ability to work independently to ensure timely vendor payments and smooth financial operations.

Target Pay:

The target starting base salary for this position is $19.17 - $26.81/hour (plus quarterly bonus incentive). Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. General Responsibilities Process accounts payable by transactions including invoice data entry into QAD ERP system Review and validate invoices by matching purchase orders, receivers, and supporting documentation Monitor recurring invoices to ensure timely receipt and processing for payment Execute weekly check runs by scheduling and processing vendor payments Collaborate with vendors, purchasing teams, and business units to resolve payment inquiries and invoice discrepancies Code invoices to appropriate general ledger accounts following company guidelines Maintain vendor records and assist with new vendor setup processes Support month-end closing activities and account reconciliations as assigned Ensure compliance with finance policies and procedures for accounts payable processes Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives Culture Bearer

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required 2+ years of accounts payable, bookkeeping, or accounting experience Strong attention to detail with proven accuracy in data entry Excellent written and verbal communication skills for vendor interactions Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (formulas, sorting, filtering) Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information Proficient in Microsoft 365 Preferred Education
