Job Duties and Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance on production machines and conveyor systems to ensure continuous operation. Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues using precision tools and test instruments. Dismantle machinery and remove/replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, hoists, and cranes. Communicate preventive maintenance needs with production staff to minimize downtime. Maintain inventory of parts, tools, and supplies; place and track orders as needed. Follow all safety, GMP, and SOP procedures to maintain a clean and compliant work environment. Accurately complete assignments from the Maintenance Manager/Lead Mechanic to support production uptime. Participate in required training sessions for safety, GMP, and operational protocols. Education and Experience Requirements
Two-year degree in mechanics or 1-4 years of relevant maintenance experience Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of machines, tools, electric motors, pumps, pressure and water systems Familiarity with the care and maintenance of common hand and power tools Ability to interpret technical documents, schematics, and manuals Skilled in diagnosing equipment failures and implementing timely repairs Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines under pressure Adaptability to changing procedures and team-based environments High attention to detail and accuracy in work execution Safety-conscious mindset and commitment to following all regulations Willingness to work overtime based on production needs
