Description
Job Duties:
• Provide guidance to managers and employees on workplace issues, performance concerns, conflict resolution, and HR policies.
• Coach managers on performance management, corrective action, and documentation best practices.
• Serve as an advocate for employees, ensuring their concerns are heard and addressed fairly while balancing the needs of the organization.
• Serve as a mediator between employees and supervisors to resolve workplace disputes and foster better communication and understanding.
• Conduct fair, thorough, and timely investigations into employee complaints, including attendance, harassment, discrimination, misconduct, and other workplace issues.
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation related to investigations, disciplinary actions, and employee concerns.
• Monitor trends and identify recurring employee relations issues to inform training and policy improvements.
• Support the development and delivery of employee relations training and resources.
• Support company culture initiatives by promoting positive employee engagement and fair workplace practices.
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field; HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred.
• 3-5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with a focus on employee relations and leadership coaching.
• Experience conducting investigations and writing reports/documentation.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including but not limited to FMLA, ADA, EEO, and FLSA.
• Proven ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
• Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze complex situations and make sound decisions.
• Effective interviewing skills, with attention to detail, accuracy, deadlines, and confidentiality.
• Proficiency in documentation, investigation techniques, and case management.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
