Auburndale, FL Pay: $38-$43/hr. Type: Temp to Hire
Job Summary: The HR Business Partner is responsible for leading employee relations and safety initiatives at a high-volume distribution facility in Auburndale, FL. This role serves as a strategic advisor to site leadership, ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies while fostering a positive and safe work environment. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in Spanish and English, with strong experience in employee relations, HR operations, and multi-state compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Investigate employee complaints and guide management on disciplinary actions in alignment with federal and state regulations. Administer safety programs, coordinate training, and support audits to ensure workplace safety and regulatory compliance. Partner with managers and employees to resolve workplace issues through coaching, conflict resolution, and policy guidance. Support HR operations including onboarding, exit interviews, background checks, and agency staffing coordination. Collaborate with corporate HR and field teams to ensure consistent application of policies and procedures. Provide training on HR policies, workers' compensation, and safety protocols to management and staff. Maintain accurate reporting on employment, attrition, and agency headcount. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field. 5-10 years of progressive HR experience, with a focus on employee relations and HR consulting. Experience supporting exempt and non-exempt employees across multiple states; international exposure a plus. PHR certification preferred. Strong knowledge of employment laws including FMLA, ADA, OSHA, and state-specific regulations. Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, HRIS, SAP, and payroll systems. Bilingual in Spanish and English is required. Ability to travel up to 20% and work across first and second shifts.
