Summit Anaheim currently has an open position for Manufacturing Expeditor (2nd shift). Summit Interconnect is a manufacturer of advanced technology printed circuit boards with a specific focus on complex rigid and rigid-flex product with unique expertise in RF/Microwave applications.
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for assessing the requirement of jobs and ensuring orders are processed thru the manufacturing routes in a timely manner. Works closely with the Production Managers to identify ways to improve the process of the orders while maintaining high safety and product quality standards and maintaining minimum manufacturing costs while decreasing scrap, re-work, and/or late shipments.
RESPONSIBILITIES ASSOCIATED WITH PERFORMING THE JOB
Responsible for checking requirements of specific customers including delivery dates upon receipt of order Responsible for performing various manufacturing duties by running the machines associated to those areas that may have a bottleneck to ensure movement of product to the rest of the areas of manufacturing. Responsible for ensuring delivery dates are feasible Responsible for ensuring the respective jobs are sent to the shop floor in a timely manner. Follow jobs from process to process to ensure they are being manufactured in a timely manner. Maintain Standard Work instructions, checklists, and Standard Work audits Develop visual methods to measure improvement and monitor processes Responsible for following and enforcing all company and legislative rulings SKILL/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO PEFORM THE JOB
Should be able to manage own activities together with initiative and drive to solicit and complete transactions successfully Should be able to direct, manage, motivate and otherwise work effectively with others to ensure all duties and performed efficiently and within deadlines Good organizational skills are required to plan and coordinate each day's activities and ensure that work is completed accurately and on time. PHYSICAL AND MENTAL EFFORT REQUIRED TO PERFORM THE JOB
Duties can vary throughout each day as can the physical and mental efforts required to accomplish the tasks Constant attention to detail often with numerous interruptions and competing demands. Subject to all types of deadlines, both regular and predictable and those that are special and change, and may be competing; should be able to respond quickly to resolve problems and to internally determine requirements involving numerous competing and often conflicting deadlines. Creative abilities are required in customer communications, employee training and problem solving WORKING CONDITIONS WHILE PERFORMING THE JOB
Works mainly on shop floor Subject to many interruptions, deadlines and varying work schedule Requires high degree of visual attention involving constant attention to detail Overtime is required when the job demands
