Company Overview: Our client is a leading firm in the construction industry, specializing in commercial and government projects. Their Preconstruction team is dedicated to delivering exceptional value through innovative solutions and precise planning. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Junior Estimator to join our client's team as a direct placement to support their mission by developing pricing strategies and assisting in proposal development for government construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Review architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and RFP documents to develop accurate estimates.
Perform detailed quantity takeoffs using Bluebeam Revu and other takeoff tools.
Develop subcontractor scopes of work and manage bid solicitations.
Assist with cost narrative development for proposals and pricing presentations.
Maintain and analyze historical cost data to support future estimating efforts.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is highly .
1+ years of experience in estimating or construction project support; experience with federal or secure facility projects is a plus.
Understanding of general construction means, methods, and sequencing.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Bluebeam software.
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense security clearance; U.S. citizenship and a clean background are required, with an active clearance considered a strong advantage.
