is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Specialist. This position will be responsible for running bi-weekly payroll and administering benefit plans. The role requires a thorough understanding of payroll and benefits laws, including but not limited to ACA, FLSA, and FMLA. The specialist will support departmental activities and uphold the company's core values while delivering excellent customer service. This is a full-time position based in the Aurora, NE office. Key responsibilities include:

Processing bi-weekly payroll for approximately 160 employees Auditing payroll records for accuracy of benefit accruals, deductions, taxes, and other data Maintaining payroll information and employee records, including rate changes, benefit changes, address updates, garnishments, direct deposits, etc. Processing new hires, terminations, job changes, and other employment updates in HR systems Administering benefit programs: conducting new hire benefit orientations, processing enrollments and beneficiary changes, leading open enrollment, coordinating COBRA, and managing 401(k) meetings and rate changes Processing weekly benefit interface files to vendors and collaborating with them Performing benefit plan audits Communicating regularly with employees regarding payroll and benefits, answering related questions Handling unemployment claims and employment verification requests Completing HR reports, including governmental filings Qualifications:

3-5 years of HR, benefits, and payroll experience; accounting experience is a plus Thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll, tax, and employment laws Experience with web-based payroll systems like JD Edwards and payroll processing/testing Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills Strong organizational and time-management skills Analytical and problem-solving abilities for audits and discrepancies Self-motivated, independent worker with good judgment Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Attention to detail and quality in all work Ability to maintain confidentiality We offer:
