We are seeking skilled professionals with a strong background in histology to provide exceptional laboratory services. You will play a critical role in processing specimens, performing a variety of staining techniques, and managing histological tasks that contribute to accurate diagnoses and patient care. Key Responsibilities: - Perform routine laboratory procedures including grossing, embedding, microtomy, and staining for anatomical pathology specimens.- Utilize automated IHC and manual special stains to ensure the highest quality of slides for diagnosis.- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including automated tissue processors, microtomes, and cryostats.- Prepare frozen sections and mount tissue sections on glass slides for further analysis.- Maintain accurate records and adhere to all laboratory safety protocols and guidelines, including infection control measures.- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to support the patient care process.- On-call duties may be required, and flexibility in scheduling is needed to accommodate hospital needs. Qualifications: - Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in histology or a related field.- Certification through ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology) preferred.- Proficient in the use of Epic or similar charting systems.- Experience with routine hospital anatomical pathology specimens and cytology.- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Floating Requirement: Willingness to float between units and nearby affiliate hospitals is required. Refusal to float may affect assignment continuity.
