The actual compensation offered may vary based on job related factors such as experience, skills, education and location.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Answer in-bound pharmacy customer calls. Make out-bound calls to patients, healthcare providers, referrals, and insurance carriers. Resolve customer issues including billing and insurance denials with insurance carriers. Establish and maintain patient profiles including lists of medications, insurance, billing, and provider information. Process orders using Enterprise Rx; gather patient demographics and billing information to complete requested orders and to obtain prior authorizations. Assists pharmacists on an as-needed basis; maintaining inventory, stocking pharmacy, preparing and dispensing medication.
SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Performs additional duties as directed.
Qualifications
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
High School Diploma Resident State Pharmacy Technician License 1-2 years pharmacy technician experience KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Excellent customer service skills Ability to answer hi-volume in-bound calls via an automated phone system Ability to make outbound calls to customers and referrals as necessary Basic knowledge of insurance, pharmacy authorization, and billing Excellent organizational skills and detail oriented Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint Spanish speaking a plus
