Experience: Minimum 3 years License: Valid license required Certifications: MLT or MLS required
Must-Have: - Experience with Abbott Architect analyzers - Experience with Wellsky blood bank program - Ability to perform manual differentials and manual microscopics - Familiarity with EPIC charting
Description: The unit requires a Medical Lab Technician with experience in blood bank procedures, chemistry, and hematology. Candidates must have experience using Abbott Architect analyzers and the Wellsky blood bank program. Must be proficient in various laboratory tasks including specimen preparation and reporting test results. Familiarity with EPIC Beaker and Instrument Manager is preferred. Travelers must have a strong understanding of quality assurance and controls. A maximum of 5 days off within the 13-week assignment is permitted. There is a zero-fault attendance policy in effect, and any missed shifts will result in warnings or cancellations. Comprehensive knowledge of hazardous materials and proper disposal procedures is essential. Ideal candidates will have experience with blood specimen storage, crossmatching, and therapeutic drug monitoring. Ability to float within the scope of practice may be required to meet facility needs. Candidates must be familiar with proper labeling and reporting procedures.
