Saturday shift must end at 7:30 PM.
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced
Hematology Technician/Technologist
to join our team in
Nashville, TN . This role will be responsible for performing a variety of
hematology tests and procedures , ensuring accurate results for patient diagnoses. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, knowledgeable in laboratory practices, and committed to high-quality patient care. Key Responsibilities:
Perform
hematology tests , including
CBCs, coagulation studies, and hemoglobin electrophoresis .
Operate laboratory equipment, including
automated analyzers
for hematology testing.
Accurately record and document test results in the
laboratory information system .
Ensure quality control procedures are followed and maintain the
integrity of patient samples .
Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.
Follow
laboratory safety protocols
and ensure compliance with regulatory standards (CLIA, CAP).
Assist with
inventory management
and ensure all hematology supplies are stocked and ready for use.
Provide support to laboratory staff and
collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers .
Qualifications:
Education & Certification:
Bachelor s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Hematology, or related field .
Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Clinical Laboratory Technician (CLT) by ASCP
or similar.
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
preferred.
Experience:
1-3 years of experience
in a
hematology laboratory
preferred.
Familiarity with
hematology testing procedures , including
CBC analysis, coagulation testing , and
blood smear examination .
Knowledge of laboratory
quality control and safety protocols .
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
