Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
The Santa Maria Bonita School District is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide essential health care services to students. The position is full-time and will close on July 31, 2025, at 11:59 PM Pacific Time. The LVN will work under the supervision of the Program Specialist for Health Services, administering basic first aid, assisting students who are ill or injured, delivering specialized health care procedures, and maintaining student health records. Key duties include performing basic first aid, administering medication, responding to emergencies, and providing specialized care for students with Individualized Health Care Plans. The LVN must have knowledge of first aid and CPR principles, specialized medical procedures, and modern office practices. The ability to communicate effectively, maintain confidentiality, and operate office equipment is essential. The position requires a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license and CPR and First Aid Certification. The working environment includes office and classroom settings, and the physical abilities required include sitting and standing for extended periods, hearing and speaking, lifting heavy objects, and seeing to read various materials. Hazards may include contact with blood or other bodily fluids and potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens and communicable diseases.
