Johnsburg School District #12 is currently seeking qualified individuals to monitor lunches at Ringwood School Primary Center and Johnsburg Elementary School.

REPORTS TO: Building Principal

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: Work Year: School days when children are present

172 Days Hours vary based on location - between the hours of 11:00 a.m and 1:30 p.m. $15.00 per hour QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma/equivalent Desire to work with students & have an interest in their safety and well-being while having lunch Ability to respond to emergency situations calmly, quickly & compassionately Ability to make judgments & implement instructions/procedures for discipline of children Respect confidentiality Must be able to use tact and diplomacy in human relations Must complete background check, physical and TB test PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervise students during lunch periods in serving lines, while eating and during lunchroom dismissal. Supervise students at recess and on playground equipmnet as needed. Assist students in securing trays, opening food containers, seating and dismissal. Assist in the lunchroom by cleaning tables & other duties as requested or assigned. Circulate among tables to provide assistance or to resolve minor issues. Maintain discipline in the lunchroom according to school and district policies. Notify custodian of any large spills and provides assistance in keeping table tops clean./Works cooperatively with food service staff. Continuous mental & visual attention to monitor areas where many children are present Complete tasks or responsibilities as directed by Building Principal Adhere to the district's expectations with regards to attendance and punctuality
