The Sr. Manager of Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) will lead overall demand planning, forecasting, and inventory management processes. This role will play a key part in facilitating the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) cycle, aligning demand and supply plans, and optimizing inventory levels to achieve customer service and cost objectives. The role is responsible for high levels of data accuracy and analysis to align demand and supply plans. Manager will oversee production planning and purchasing teams at the manufacturing plants. Support the reduction of costs while increasing efficiencies under the direction of the Director of Materials, Planning and Logistics.
Responsibilities:
Analyze and interpret supply chain data such as SIOP, shipments, and delivery times, costs, and inventory levels.
Measure, control, and improve S&OP plan accuracy through clearly defined metrics
Manage MRP exception triggers and work with plant buyer/planners to ensure timely delivery of materials for production needs within necessary inventory needs/MOQ
Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality.
Create and analyze capacity plan to ensure plants can meet sales forecasts and demand in production planning and execution.
Focus on order planning, capital expenditure, inventory control, logistics and delivery.
Lead production planning at brass plants in the US.
Analyze production capacity and adapt schedules to meet customer needs and optimize utilization
Communicate production changes, deviations from schedule, and updates to all stakeholders.
Review and analyze demand forecasts versus actual demand, understanding changes and trends.
Analyze and update S&OP build out plans on a weekly basis and assist in facilitating S&OP meeting cadence

Responsible for oversite of metric and status reporting to senior leadership.
Build and maintain PBI reports and use SQL to create dashboards for supply chain data review.
Implement training on route causes from analysis and ensure all parties are trained to improve inventory accuracy.
Process improvements that result in realized cost savings
Assist with data analysis for materials, operations, and engineering groups to ensure effectiveness of processes, reduce costs, and management inventory
Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures & Operational Plans
Collect and interpret analytical and performance data to create KPIs
Qualifications and Requirements:
4-year supply chain, commercial operations, IT, or management degree with 4 years of leadership experience or 8 years of data management experience and or leadership background without a degree
Working knowledge of ERP or other materials management systems- experience with Dynamics 365, Infor, and AS400 is a plus.
Experience with SQL, Excel Queries & Formulas, and Power BI needed.
Experience in LEAN and Six Sigma techniques and practices is a plus.
Excellent Communication skills, verbal and written expected.
Understands the concept of Bills of Materials, Material Orders/Work Orders executed within a manufacturing environment.
Requires repetitive upper body movement – keyboard and monitor use
