Senior Manager of Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) Are you ready to lead the strategic planning process that drives production, inventory, and supply chain efficiency across a growing manufacturing operation?

The Senior Manager of Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) will oversee demand planning, forecasting, and inventory management with a focus on aligning supply and demand through a structured S&OP process. This role is critical in driving data accuracy, production planning, and cost-effective decision-making across multiple U.S. manufacturing facilities. The position reports to the Director of Materials, Planning and Logistics and manages the plant-level planning and purchasing teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead S&OP cycle, aligning supply and demand planning to meet customer service and cost goals Analyze SIOP, shipment data, inventory levels, and delivery times to inform decisions Manage MRP exception triggers and ensure timely material delivery based on production needs and MOQs Build and maintain capacity plans that support sales forecasts and production execution Oversee production planning at U.S.-based facilities, optimizing schedules and utilization Monitor and communicate production changes, delays, and updates to stakeholders Compare demand forecasts to actuals to identify variances and adjust plans Facilitate weekly S&OP updates and reporting cadence Use Power BI and SQL to build dashboards and performance tracking tools Train cross-functional teams on root cause analysis and inventory accuracy improvements Identify and implement process improvements that reduce cost and improve operational performance Partner with operations, materials, and engineering teams on data-driven initiatives Maintain Standard Operating Procedures and develop actionable KPIs Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in supply chain, commercial operations, IT, or management and 4+ years of leadership experience, OR 8+ years of relevant leadership and data management experience without a degree Proficiency in ERP systems (Dynamics 365, Infor, AS400 a plus) Strong skills in SQL, Excel (queries and formulas), and Power BI Familiarity with LEAN and Six Sigma methods preferred Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Working knowledge of BOMs, work orders, and material orders in a manufacturing setting Ability to perform repetitive computer-based tasks (keyboard and monitor use) Headquartered in North Central Indiana and founded in 2009, TalentSource is a sole source recruiting firm offering an awesome team of subject matter experts in talent acquisition!
